From the PR Release:
“ROCCAT’s highly acclaimed Power-Grid app is now available to the public for free download as the software reaches its open beta phase. The game-changing software consists of a smartphone app, which runs on iOS and Android devices, and accompanying host software, which runs on Windows. This technology is used to turn the smartphone into a sophisticated, fully customizable remote control for the PC, extending the environment of the gamer onto their smartphone. Power-Grid features countless preset Grids and Controls that offer functionality ranging from adjusting Windows settings to executing in-game macro sequences in popular games such as StarCraft II and League of Legends. The software also provides gamers with the ability to create their own extensively configurable Grids and Controls, allowing them to cater to their own specific needs and desires. The new Power-Grid website – launched simultaneously – provides a database for those searching for additional Grids and Controls. The database will feature ROCCAT as well as community content, the latter being facilitated by the launcher software’s easy-to-use Grid and Control import/export process.”

October 22nd is the next big Apple event and many expect to see a new iPad and iPad Mini released. We’ll probably see some new guts such as an improved processor and upgraded camera along with a possible retina iPad Mini. However my excitement is in the integration of a game controller into iOS 7 and why it’s a game changer, literally. Bringing a controller to the iPad and iPhone not only make mobile on the go gaming a better experience for iOS users but with the integration of an Apple TV into the home we could be looking at the new $99 game system. Now whether a game controller will work with the Apple TV or not has yet to be known, however you can currently mirror your iPad with AirPlay giving you a nice big screen gaming experience with the use of an iOS 7 integrated controllers.
Rovio’s Angry Birds are quickly becoming as recognizable as Super Mario, and soon they’ll have their own very own kart game to match that level of fame. The developer just released the very first gameplay trailer for Angry Birds Go, a game that takes the Angry Birds style and translates it to a 3D racing game.

I am a huge proponent of video games, their fun, relaxing, educating, teach hand eye coordination and can help you kill some time. However I don’t believe that every game is for everybody, GTAV is not a game for the younger audience or one they should even be around to see played. Now don’t get me wrong I don’t think because a kid plays this he is going to go on a shooting spree that’s just asinine and ignorant to say but people should be aware of what they buy for their kids. So I was happy to see this article in Kotaku written by a video game store employee echoing the same thoughts I have on rated M games and younger kids. Article Link Here…
New Gear Compliments of My Friend Over at TT eSports by Thermaltake! Meka G-Unit Illuminated mechanical keyboard is by far one of the best and most durable gaming keyboards available, with the mechanical keys given you a very fluent and quick response as well as perfect timing with the 60 programmable macro keys. The Theron mouse is also well constructed with a nice ergonomic fit for any gamer or ex-gaming office worker, with a big hand. Movements on it are fluid and you are given up to 40 programmable macros on it, two of my favorite features though was the mouse sensitivity which can be adjusted by up and down arrows located just under your palm, along with the adjustable weights which allow you to make the mouse as light or as heavy as you would like it. Last but not least I also received the CRONOS gaming headset the sound was great for all the in-game sounds you want to hear like gunshots or footsteps of someone creeping up on you. Above and beyond that when they are hooked up to the computer via the provided USB they light up matching the mouse and keyboard with the TTe Battle Dragon glowing red. Two of my favorite features of this headset though were the fold flat design which fits easily in my messenger bag and the separate cable to connect it to a mobile device, seeing how I do 99% of my gaming on a tablet that was an attention to detail touch I really liked.
