Nerfs New N-Strike Elite Can Launch Darts Over 75ft
Some fellow tech nerds got a chance to try out Nerfs new Elite Blasters and to say the least awesome and I want I want!
The above gun is the Hail Fire it’ll retail for about $40 and can hold up to 144 darts an electric motor inside allows for fully automatic destruction.
Then theirs the Rampage retailing for about $33 it has the usual 25 dart side barrel drum but with a lot more kick than its predecessor.
Last but not least is the Retaliator retailing for about $27 the included 12 darts limit you so you’ll want more mags but it’s small, potentially concealable and with a launch distance of almost a 100ft (shown in the video on TechCrunch) it’ll dominate in cubical warfare!
Real Life Mario Kart! Ok, Kinda.
This is actually the Chibikart designed by a group of MIT students as a CAD to completion project.
The Helo TC Assault Touch From Griffin Tech
Griffin Tech brings a new spin on iOS controlled RC Helicopters and throws in missiles for fun. There are already several app driven RC devices that are nothing more than a spin on the common control scheme allowing touch joystick control and accelerometer control. The Helo has those features as well plus missiles! Ok, that’s not all it has but shooting your coworkers with a flying helicopter is great. It also has flight pattern mapping allowing you to save up to three flights and the routes taken along with control of the Helo’s LED lights and an auto land feature via a quick tap. Little things can often make a big difference and let’s hope that’s the case for the Helo. This isn’t Griffins first round at an app controlled helicopter and the first one had a quirk or two we’ll see what the Helo brings it’s yours for $60.
App Tag Brings The First Person Shooting Experience To The Office!
I love Nerf guns, what geek doesn’t, but add laser tag to that and I think I just had a geekasm! I can remember running around the backyard with one of those bulky vests and blaster in hand as I ducked, weaved, rolled and even climbed on to the roof of the house to dominate in laser tag. Nerf guns plus office equals fun but not every boss finds it funny when he gets hit by a dart in the crossfire section of a Nerf war. However with just 14 hours left on Kick Starter and fully funded the App Tag could keep the cube wars going minus the darts!
I am a pretty decent RC Helicopter Pilot but this Maverick makes me look like a chump and wish my wife would let me fly my helicopter in the house again.
Office warfare is no laughing matter and the guys over at Think Geek realize that. Thus they introduce the iLaunch Rocket Launcher For iPhone. Annihilate the office pest in cube to cube warfare utter destruction!
Nerf guns are great, rubber bands guns genius but a mobile mission control system in the palm of your hand is diabolical. Have fear cube dwellers because this is Daddy’s new weapon. You get 270 degrees of horizontal turning to pin point in your launch and 40 degrees of vertical movement. Air pistons launch the rockets out at over 25 feet and their is a shake to fire if you need to be discreet. The base station has rechargeable batteries for ultimate portability allowing you to gain an upper hand. You can grab yours for $79 over at Think Geek.
If you haven’t scene the “Worlds Largest Rope Swing Video” you need to check it out. “Trike Drifting” is done by the same guys and it’s epic win! I now want a tricycle!
